THE SCIENCE BEHIND BEAUTY BALLOON
FACIAL AGING: THE THREE DREADED Ds
Facial aging is a complex, dynamic, integrated process involving all facial anatomy layers including bone, muscle, fat, and skin. As the aging process progresses, the face undergoes changes resulting from deterioration, deflation, and descent due to changes occurring in the four anatomic layers. There is bone loss, recession, and remodeling. The deep and superficial facial fat pads atrophy and reposition. The mimetic facial muscles atrophy, weaken and undergo changes in tone and thickness. The skin loses collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid in the dermis.
The loss of the harmonic balance between the interacting mimetic facial muscles is an essential aspect of the aging process and can be challenging to address in aesthetic procedures. The imbalance in facial muscle interaction is called Dynamic Muscle Discord (DMD). DMD contributes to facial aging as specific muscle groups gain more pull over others, leading to disharmony in facial appearance and forming deep wrinkles, undesirable facial miscues, and asymmetries. The perioral region is particularly susceptible to DMD and challenging to rejuvenate. Over time, the facial shape loses its inverted triangle of youth, resulting in what is referred to as the pyramid of age.

CREATED BY A MEDICAL DOCTOR FOR HEALTH AND BEAUTY
BEAUTY BALLOON, LLC was created and founded by Dr. Catherine (Katie) Kennedy, MD, board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. Searching for a way to try to correct the underlying disorder of the facial, orofacial, and oropharyngeal musculature due to DMD as specific muscles weaken and atrophy relative to others during the aging process, or from other etiologies, the BEAUTY BALLOON Collection was developed.
The BEAUTY BALLOON Collection consists of noninvasive, easy-to-use facial beauty exercise tools designed for at-home use. These tools help lift the midface, lower face, and neck and improve jawline definition, resulting in a rejuvenated appearance.
Dr. Kennedy is happy to introduce her patent-pending facial beauty exercise tools designed with precision for engaging the Tongue, Lip, and Cheek (TLC) muscles to augment facial exercise for both health and beauty benefits. The midface, lower face, oropharyngeal including the tongue, and floor of mouth muscles are strengthened, tightened, and toned. Dynamic muscle interaction is improved to help restore youthful contours, shape, and symmetry. Improvement in facial and orofacial muscle strength along with increased blood flow helps revitalize the midface, lower face, and neck.

VERSATILITY OF USE AND BEAUTY BENEFITS
Various isometric and isotonic resistance training exercises are performed with the BEAUTY BALLOON Collection. Winsomely called by Dr. Kennedy, “a Little TLC for your TLC” meaning “a Little Tender Loving Care for your Tongue, Lips, and Cheeks.” The aesthetic improvements include natural, lifted, sculpted, and re-volumized cheeks, plumper, and more balanced lip proportions. The definition of the jawline and “tech neck” lines have also been improved. Strengthening the floor of the mouth muscles helps to reduce the undesirable double chin and improve the cervicomental angle for a more youthful, lifted neck appearance. The BEAUTY BALLOON Collection is Your Triangle of Youth!

BEAUTY BALLOON OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
While many aesthetic procedures try to prevent or slow aging to help create a more youthful look, none are risk-free or can be performed without a costly trained professional. Dermal fillers, fat grafting, thread placement, micro-needling, laser resurfacing, and plastic surgery are potentially risky and expensive procedures that require a trained professional and may yield disappointing results. The high cost, risks, lengthy downtime, and lack of access to a qualified licensed professional can be obstacles for those seeking aesthetic improvement.
The BEAUTY BALLOON Collection, on the other hand, offers a convenient, safe, and effective solution to help sculpt, lift, and rejuvenate the midface, lower face, neck, and jawline, naturally, by strengthening, tightening, and toning the lifting muscles of the face and neck. While surgical results are not to be expected, restoration of muscle tonicity and improvement in the harmonic balance of the face will enhance your beauty routine. If you desire aesthetic procedures, the BEAUTY BALLOON products work in synergy with whatever aesthetic procedures you may undergo. No different from building a strong toned body, building a robust and toned face can enhance any current and future aesthetic procedures you may undergo. The BEAUTY BALLOON Collection works in concert with aesthetic and plastic surgery procedures (after healing is completed) and home beauty treatments to enhance and help maintain longer-lasting results.

FACIAL EXERCISE FOR HEALTH AND BEAUTY
Rehabilitative and therapeutic medical practices have long utilized facial exercise to help restore essential facial, orofacial, and oropharyngeal functions and correct facial asymmetries to improve aesthetic outcomes. More recently, there is a growing movement by myofunctional therapists along with many dentists, orthodontists, and otolaryngologists to educate on proper orofacial, and oropharyngeal including the tongue, lip, and cheek dynamic muscle interaction to prevent and treat Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMD’s) and Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders (SRBD’s). In particular, much emphasis has been given to the negative health consequences of chronic mouth-breathing and the pattern of associated facial anatomic changes, brought forth mainly due to the rise in Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Accordingly, timely intervention can help prevent and correct the undesirable facial changes associated with these disorders, often called Adenoid Face, (also called Long Face Syndrome). In addition, reduces the health risks.
As mentioned above, these practices' rehabilitative and therapeutic techniques contain appreciable commonality. In addition, there is a noticeable commonality with many facial yoga techniques taught by highly skilled experts and practiced by millions of facial yoga devotees.
The BEAUTY BALLOON Collection was meticulously crafted considering each established practice's strong heritage and purposeful goals. By incorporating the BEAUTY BALLOON products into your daily health and beauty routine, whether it be for the rehabilitative benefit, therapeutic benefit, maintenance of orofacial strength, aesthetic benefit, or any combination thereof, the BEAUTY BALLOON PRODUCTS OFFER SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.
